About the artist:

From an early age Jacinthe Dugal-Lacroix was drawn to painting and drawing but it's a little later in life that she discovers sculpting.  The clay awakes in her a possibility of unlimited expression, a freedom.

Today, Jacinthe is a full-time sculptor.  Her inspiration is generated by the human body and the exploration of movement.  With the love of a mother, Jacinthe, uses bronze sculptures to evoke the rich spectrum of emotions.  A wholesome intent to touch the heart radiated from her creations, some might say an invitation to meditation.  Her spontaneous generodity is like a fountain of hope.  It's in the enchantted warmth of her studio, that she shapes and moulds wonders in that peaceful, symbiotic relationship with nature only equalled by the miracle of genesis that starts with the mind and acts through the hands.

L'artiste:

Depuis sa tendre enfance Jacinthe Dugal-Lacroix est fascinée par le dessin et la peinture mais c'est un peu plus tard dans sa vie qu'elle découvre la sculpture.  L'argile éveille en elle une possibilité d'expression illimité.

Aujourd'hui Jacinthe sculpture à temps plein.  Du corps humain et de l'exploration de ses mouvements, source principale d'inspiration devenant les fondations de son art, Jacinthe évoque, par ses sculptures de bronze, la complexité des émotions qu'en soi elle forme, pétrit, moulé, caressé avec l'amour d'une mère qui met au monde la vie.  Une saine intention de toucher les Ietres se dégage de ses créations génératrices de sérénité, de simplicité ou encore d'une invitation au recueillement.  Une générositée de coeur et d'esprit souvent porteurse d'espoir.

C'est dans le contexte enchanteur de son atelier, qu'elle oeuvre au sein d'une paix symbiotiquee avec la nature dont la splendeur s'incarne dans ses mains qui modèlent ses pensées.
